What You Will Do
- Carry out comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide recommendations for care.
- Educate and support patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.
What You Will Need
- Doctorate Medicine Required (MD or DO)
- Fellowship in Child Psychiatry
- DEA required
- Controlled substance license required
- Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Required
