Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist| Inpatient Service Director | Norfolk, VA

About the role

The Service Director role is focused on patient care within Inpatient treatment services for Child and Adolescent cases in a high-supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the inpatient service
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
• Manage the clinical and administrative aspects of the service
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• MD/DO degree from an accredited program
• Board certified in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
• Licensed to practice in the State of Virginia or ability to obtain
• Minimum of three to four years of practice experience
• Mets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of adolescent psychiatry and treatment modalities
