Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - Inpatient

Location: Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry, 880 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, OH 43223

About the Role

The Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will diagnose and treat mental illnesses through psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. This role supports patients receiving specialized psychiatric care in a 130-bed acute care hospital offering Adult and Senior Inpatient Programs, Dual Diagnosis Programs, and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, corporate policies, and facility procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans; document services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with policy and procedures.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
• One or more years of post-graduate practice preferred.
• Licensed in the state where the facility operates.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (preferred).
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions, per state regulations.

Pay

Compensation range: $320,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience.
