An enterprise SaaS company serving Fortune 500 customers is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead technology vision, engineering, AI strategy, and product architecture in the marketing technology space.
About the Role
This is a senior executive role reporting into company leadership with oversight of a multidisciplinary technology organization of 50 or more professionals.
Responsibilities
- Own the technology roadmap across engineering, architecture, AI/ML, DevOps, quality assurance, consulting, and project management.
- Evaluate and modernize enterprise architecture, reduce technical debt, and build scalable, secure, cloud-native SaaS platforms.
- Identify and apply AI technologies (including large language models, retrieval augmented generation, vector databases, and cloud AI infrastructure) to improve product capability and operational efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with executive leadership to align technology strategy with business goals, particularly within marketing technology and channel marketing product lines.
Requirements
- 20+ years of technology leadership experience in enterprise software, SaaS, MarTech, or channel marketing platforms.
- Experience managing technology organizations of 50 or more professionals across engineering, architecture, AI/ML, DevOps, QA, consulting, and project management.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI technologies to drive product innovation, operational efficiency, and customer value.
- Working knowledge of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, tokenization, prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, GPUs, and cloud AI infrastructure.
- Experience designing and scaling secure, cloud-native SaaS platforms for enterprise customers.
- Track record of defining technology strategy, modernizing legacy platforms, and reducing technical debt.
- Experience building enterprise SaaS applications for Fortune 500 customers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience with Through-Channel Marketing Automation (TCMA), Co-op Fund Management, Market Development Funds (MDF), SPIFFs, Partner Relationship Management (PRM), incentives, and rebate platforms.
Pay
Base salary of $200,000 to $300,000 per year, plus a performance bonus and participation in a long-term equity incentive program.
