Chief Scientist- Next Gen

Responsibilities

• Provides overall Next Gen technical direction and vision in collaboration with Core Lead, Functional and Program Leadership.
• Provides top level technical objectives and requirements for key constraints and guardrails, key milestones with dates, key dependencies, key risks and opportunities.
• Creates a technical integration plan across the Core Leads, and deconflicts Core Lead plans, projects and technologies.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive product strategy to address key scientific questions and challenges.
• Interfaces with senior level technical partners internally and externally and serves as the ACP technical representative.
• Serves as a senior technical mentor and consultant for the organization.
• Holds deep understanding of long-term technical needs while balancing immediate technical solutions with the technical team.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVES: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or a related field or equivalent experience and 15 years of experience in design, development, test, qualification, certification, and in-service product support in area of expertise.
• Deep understanding of current and future technology trends in ACP Core Technology areas and their application to future products and capabilities.
• Leadership in scientific research with extensive experience driving complex research and technology development.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for diverse audiences.
• Strong project management experience with the ability to balance near-term execution with long-term innovation objectives.
• Prominent ability to influence, align, and drive decision-making across multidisciplinary teams and senior leadership.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $178,000- $222,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
