About the role
The Southeastern Museums Conference is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns, coordinating events, and supporting the development of strategic initiatives.Responsibilities
- Manage social media platforms and oversee content creation
- Coordinate event planning and execution, including logistics and promotion
- Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies
- Work closely with the board and staff to ensure alignment with conference goals
- Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in marketing or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with event planning and coordination
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools
Qualifications
- Experience with nonprofit organizations preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of graphic design software (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) is a plus
