Chief Photographer

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Photographer to lead our staff of Photographers. This role involves telling great stories with video and sound while inspiring excellence from the team. The Chief Photographer manages, evaluates, and develops a team of photographers and MMJs, oversees daily news gathering, and ensures vehicle and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide constructive feedback on shooting and editing of photojournalist staff
• Train staff on Live U operation and Adobe editing software
• Assist News Director with hiring and scheduling of staff

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of television news photography and non-linear editing experience
• Professional, organized, and highly motivated
• Knowledge and experience with television news photography
• Technical knowledge of SAT vehicles, LIVE U, and Adobe editing
• Ability to work with reporters and Multimedia Journalists, as well as independently gather and meet news deadlines
