Chief People Officer
About the role
The Chief People Officer will lead the next stage of growth for a highly respected, service-driven organization with a premium brand, a strong culture, and significant momentum. This is a rare opportunity for an executive HR leader who can operate as both a strategic business partner and a hands-on builder.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational design, talent strategy, workforce planning, and business growth.
- Build and modernize scalable HR programs across talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, career pathing, leadership development, and employee engagement.
- Strengthen the recruiting engine by improving hiring speed, quality of hire, employer brand, and proactive talent pipelines.
- Lead people operations, HR compliance, corporate governance, policy modernization, risk mitigation, and related legal/vendor coordination.
- Preserve and scale a high-touch, service-driven culture while creating structure, accountability, and consistency across a distributed workforce.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience scaling organizations of 500+ employees.
- Proven ability to operate as both a strategic executive advisor and a hands-on HR leader across people strategy, compliance, employee relations, and talent programs.
- Experience in a multi-site, high-touch service environment such as luxury, hospitality, travel, retail, or a similarly customer-focused business.
- Strong background building scalable recruiting, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement programs.
- Strong executive presence, discretion, and communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive people, culture, compliance, and leadership issues with sound judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR, MBA, or JD strongly preferred.

- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations, and ability to ensure compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Pay
The base salary for this role is expected to be about $300-350k annually plus bonus/benefits.
