Chief Operating Officer (COO), for Citi's firm-wide AI team

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic planning and execution across the Group AI organization
• Establish operating plans including OKRs and KPIs in collaboration with leadership
• Oversee end-to-end execution of AI programs across multiple pillars
• Evolve the operating model and governance for the Group AI organization
• Identify process improvements for operational efficiencies in AI initiatives
• Manage the Group AI budget and financial forecasting in partnership with Finance
• Lead workforce transformation and talent planning efforts within the Group AI organization

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership experience in Financial Services, including COO or Chief of Staff roles
• Proven success in managing large-scale transformation programs in a regulated environment
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-hundred-million-dollar budgets and ROI
• Expertise in workforce transformation, talent strategy, and change management at scale
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their impact on operational frameworks
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at senior levels

Compensation

$250,000 – $500,000 annually
