About the role
The Chief of Staff to the Data Center Construction leadership team within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a strategic operations and execution partner responsible for helping drive alignment, operating discipline, and visibility across OCI's global data center construction portfolio. This role supports the planning, governance, communications, and execution rhythms required to deliver data center capacity at scale. The individual will work closely with leaders across construction, engineering, commissioning, supply chain, finance, operations, PMO, and regional delivery teams to improve coordination, track priorities, surface risks, and enable faster decision-making.
We are seeking candidates with experience in data centers, infrastructure delivery, construction management, program management, strategic operations, or consulting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and able to translate complex information into clear executive-ready materials. This is a remote, work-from-home position. Some travel may be required from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Business Alignment
- Support leadership in translating OCI priorities into clear objectives, execution plans, milestones, and operating cadences across data center delivery programs.
- Assist with annual planning, quarterly business reviews, operating reviews, leadership meetings, and long-range delivery planning.
- Track key business priorities, decisions, action items, and follow-through across regions and functions.
- Help identify risks, dependencies, and gaps that may impact delivery schedules, capacity commitments, cost, or execution quality.
- Operational Excellence & Governance
- Help manage the rhythm of the business, including staff meetings, operating reviews, dashboards, KPI reporting, and leadership updates.
- Support consistent reporting and governance across delivery metrics, risks, escalations, and program health.
- Partner with regional and functional teams to improve visibility into portfolio execution, schedule performance, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Drive process discipline by documenting decisions, tracking actions, and ensuring owners and timelines are clear.
- Portfolio & Program Enablement
- Partner with delivery leaders, PMO, finance, and operations teams to monitor portfolio health, execution risks, and capital deployment.
- Support escalation and resolution of issues affecting data center delivery timelines, capacity delivery, or operational readiness.
- Track progress against leadership-sponsored initiatives and provide regular status updates.
- Support special projects focused on standardization, process improvement, governance, and execution model enhancements.
- Executive Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Develop clear, concise materials for leadership reviews, including business updates, risk summaries, portfolio status, capacity forecasts, and decision documents.
- Synthesize complex cross-functional information into actionable insights, recommendations, and executive-level narratives.
- Serve as a coordination point between leadership and key stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and consistent messaging.
- Support preparation for major internal milestones, executive reviews, and strategic discussions.
- Organizational Effectiveness & Scale
- Support organizational planning, onboarding, workforce planning, and team operating model improvements as OCI scales its global delivery organization.
- Partner with HR, finance, and business leaders to support talent processes, organizational reviews, and leadership planning.
- Help improve team effectiveness by identifying recurring friction points, process gaps, and opportunities to simplify execution.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational rigor.
Requirements
Experience in data centers, infrastructure delivery, construction management, program management, strategic operations, or consulting.
Pay
US hiring range: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
