About the role

Knot is a startup focused on connecting merchants to various applications used daily by consumers and businesses. The company offers products like CardSwitcher, TransactionLink, and AgenticShopping, which allow users to manage their card information and access transaction data easily. Founded in 2021 by Rory and Kieran O'Reilly, Knot has received backing from notable investors and powers connected payment experiences for hundreds of thousands of customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work closely with Rory (CEO) & Kieran (CTO) to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Execute projects ranging from maintaining office amenities to managing the CEO's schedule and communications.
  • Coordinate and follow up with key individuals on the CEO's behalf through email, calendar, and Slack.
  • Arrange in-office events and coordinate the CEO's attendance at conferences and events.
  • Create deliverables for important lines of communication and projects, both internally and externally.
  • Lead on day-to-day operational finance, including taxes, expenses, payroll, and strategic finance projects.
  • Lead key projects that may not have a clear home within the company.

What You’ll Need To Get The Job Done

  • Experience in a Chief of Staff role within a high-growth, startup technology environment.
  • An approach that gets things done and drives tasks forward.
  • A proactive and adaptive mindset to own and drive tasks.
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity and deliver exceptional results without a clearly defined path.
  • No ego; you'll lead strategic meetings with investors, customers, and board members.
