Chief of Plant Protection

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing a proprietary armed guard force and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Ensuring the physical security of employees, visitors, contractors, facilities, deliveries, products, and sensitive information.
• Planning and executing security measures for dignitary and VIP visits, large-scale events and ceremonies at all EB facilities located in CT.
• Coordination with (City, State and Federal) law enforcement and Emergency Management agencies at all EB facilities located in the State of CT.
• Developing, implementing and evaluating training programs related to active shooter response, workplace violence prevention, and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Implementation of security plans for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years of Management/Supervisory experience, 10+ years of continuous experience within a professional Security or Municipal, State, Federal, or Military law enforcement organization.
• Preferred: Experience in physical security, experience with the development of effective threat mitigation strategies, experience in the development of policies and procedures, experience in managing operational budgets, fleet operations, professional development of personnel, manpower projections and scheduling.
