About the role
The successful candidate will lead the division in clinical practice, teaching, and research at Boston Medical Center, the major teaching affiliate of Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. The position involves oversight of division operations, including clinical, teaching, and research activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of division operations, including clinical, teaching, and research activities
- Participation in ambulatory clinical services, inpatient consult services, and teaching and supervision of medical students and residents
- Opportunity for expanded collaboration with the Internal Medicine Endocrinology Division in refining a Pediatric-to-Adult Transition Clinic
- Supervision of internal medicine endocrinology fellows
- Leading the expansion of patient care, teaching, and clinical research missions related to endocrinology, diabetes, and weight management
Requirements
- Physician (MD or DO) board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
- Eligible to be fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician at Boston Medical Center
- Strong leadership and clinical skills
- Interest in practicing in an academic urban environment
