Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO with ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in a relevant specialty
  • Active Medical Licensure
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience in relevant specialty
  • Experience in leading successful quality improvement projects within the clinical setting
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements: Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
  • Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.

About the Role

The CMO provides oversight and ensures productive relationships with the medical staff, assures clinical excellence, helps leadership in planning and executing Intermountain and the Hospital’s strategic plan, assures financial success, maintains accreditation/regulatory compliance, and promotes a positive work environment.

An essential function of the Chief Medical Officer role is building relationships across the enterprise with leaders, key stakeholders, community partners, and physicians to move strategy forward and achieve desired outcomes.

The Hospital CMO will work with affiliated and employed providers to drive results and ensure provider engagement.
