Location: Riverview, Florida

Responsibilities

• Work with the medical staff to develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve the health system and medical staff's mutual interests.
• Responsible for quality assurance, appropriate utilization review, process improvement teams, credentialing and appointment of physicians.
• Act as an advocate of health system and medical staff interests with external payers, accreditors and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate the development of documentation and presentation to support the health system and medical staffs positions before these agencies.

Qualifications

• Florida Medical License (required within 6 months).
• Preferred experience: 2 years as VP Medical Affairs or Chief Medical Officer.
• Education: Doctorate in Medicine or Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine.
• Preferred education: Master's in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
• Experience: 10 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred: 2 years of executive leadership experience.

Schedule

Full Time, Exempt. Shift Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
