Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between market management and medical staff to foster relationships and input
- Oversee medical staff functions, including recruitment and development plans
- Support and chair committees to enhance medical staff performance
- Lead physician Continuous Quality Improvement processes across the market
- Set patient care delivery standards and lead quality improvement goals
- Promote services to referring physicians and educate them about market offerings
- Collaborate with senior leadership on managed care strategies and negotiations
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completed residency in a medical specialty from accredited medical school
- Board certification in field of specialty that must be maintained during employment
- Preferred MBA or Master's in Healthcare Administration
- At least 15 years of clinical experience and 5 years of executive leadership
- Demonstrated leadership in quality improvement initiatives and physician relations
- Strong communication skills to discuss quality issues effectively
- Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills, with a focus on integrity and motivation
