Responsibilities
- Carry out all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board consistent with the philosophy and practices of the Hospital.
- Plan, organize, and influence department activities.
- Assure financial records of the Hospital are maintained following generally accepted accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance or closely related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.
- Progressively responsible position in the Accounting profession.
- Familiarity with computer accounting programs.
- CPA preferred.
- Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organization preferred.
- Five to seven years’ experience in hospital accounting/finance required; two years in management preferred.
- Management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations.
- Knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $220,000.00 to $280,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
