Chief Financial Officer - CAAS (Agribusiness, Food, and Beverage)
About the role
CLA is seeking a Chief Financial Officer with agribusiness industry experience for its growing CAAS group in Tri-Cities, Yakima, Wenatchee, or Moses Lake, WA offices. The ideal candidate will perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team, driving financial policy, capital planning, risk management, and client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement best practices related to services provided to add value to the client.
- Work with clients to set financial policy and participate in and drive overall strategy.
- Drive capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and board of director interactions.
- Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
- Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management.
- Maintain financial record systems in accordance with appropriate principles and monitor the use of funds.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing financial accounting.
- Cookordination of audit activities.
- Build strong client relationships and become a key member of the client management team.
- Develop key external business networks and become a service and industry thought leader.
Requirements
- Experience: 8 years relative work experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or equivalent. Agribusiness industry experience is highly preferred. Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and skilled in multitasking. Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online version) is highly preferred.

Pay
The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $143,000.00 – $241,000.00.
