Chief Financial Officer
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise financial planning, including annual budgeting, long-range forecasting, and scenario modeling.
- Optimize capital structure and funding strategies to support portfolio growth and profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking partners, stakeholders, and the partner company.
- Provide clear and actionable financial insights to support executive decision-making.
- Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting, including financial reporting, audit, tax, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to support lending and financing operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
- Partner with leaders across sales, operations, credit, and technology to improve efficiency, pricing strategy, and profitability.
- Analyze operational and financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and business insights.
- Provide executive oversight of Finance/Accounting, HR, and IT functions.
- Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
- Strengthen infrastructure, talent, and processes to support company growth and scalability.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and alignment across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field required (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, or a related industry strongly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and capital management.
- Experience working with banks, auditors, and parent company or external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, investments, or partnerships is preferred but not required.
- Experience overseeing or partnering closely with HR and/or IT functions is a plus.
About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic financial leader for our client, an equipment lease and finance company with active leases and loans nationwide, grounded in a faith-and family-based culture that values fun, integrity, and teamwork. This role is responsible for guiding the organization’s fiscal health and long-term direction while overseeing budgeting and forecasting, driving strategic growth initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading financial reporting to internal leadership, the partner company, and banking partners.
The CFO provides leadership in financial planning, risk management, capital structure optimization, and operational efficiency to support long-term profitability and sustainability. Worksite Location: St. Cloud, MN.
Salary Range: Total Compensation could exceed $300k

Qualifications
