Bring financial leadership, strategic discipline, and member-focused impact to a credit union committed to Making Good Happen. Valley First Credit Union is seeking a forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer to help guide the next chapter of growth, performance, and member value.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support informed decisions.
  • Lead ALM, liquidity, capital, investments, and balance sheet strategy with confidence and discipline.
  • Provide clear insight into financial performance, profitability, NIM, ROA, non-interest income, and long-term sustainability.
  • Support lending, payments, product strategy, and growth initiatives through strong financial analysis and sound risk management.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting integrity.
  • Lead and develop finance, accounting, and payments teams with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement, and service.
  • Bring curiosity, ownership, and practical business judgment to both strategic and operational decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required. MBA preferred, CPA is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of accounting/financial management experience.
  • At least 8 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience working with auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of financial institution regulations, investments, ALM, financial reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, manage multiple priorities, and influence at the executive and Board level.

Benefits

Compensation: $225,000 - $275,000
