Chief Financial Officer

What You'll Do

• Shape and execute the company's overall financial strategy in partnership with executive leadership
• Lead all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Oversee job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and project-level financial performance to ensure transparency and accountability
• Design and maintain robust financial models and forecasts to drive decision-making and strategic planning
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy to enhance financial visibility and controls
• Manage all banking relationships, capital strategy, debt structuring, and financing initiatives
• Partner closely with operations leaders to optimize project margins, cost controls, and profitability
• Lead organizational budgeting, financial planning, and long-range forecasts
• Ensure the highest standards of compliance, internal controls, and integrity across all financial activities
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team capable of supporting growth
• Prepare and present insightful analysis and recommendations to ownership, board, and senior colleagues
• Support M&A due diligence and integration activities as needed

What We're Looking For

• 10-20+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant exposure to construction or project-based industries
• Deep expertise in job costing, WIP schedules, and construction financials
• Demonstrated experience in a growth-stage or scaling company environment
• Proven leadership experience building or leading high-caliber finance teams
• CPA designation or equivalent advanced financial qualification preferred
• Strong ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with an ability to partner with owners and cross-functional teams
• Strategic thinker who brings clarity, structure, and accountability to rapidly growing environments
• High ownership mentality with a hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail
• Deep understanding of financial systems, GAAP compliance, and financial best practices
• Flexibility and drive to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-evolving business setting
