Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Riggs Industries is seeking a Chief Financial Officer responsible for financial governance and risk management, capital structure, corporate treasury, cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships for a privately-held, multi-division industrial manufacturing and construction company.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Board Partnership
  • Serve as the Board's primary financial advisor.
  • Provide scenario modeling, risk analysis, and capital structure recommendations.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to owners and directors.
• Corporate Finance, Treasury & Tax
  • Oversee corporate treasury, cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements and strengthen internal controls.
  • Improve financial governance across Corporate Shared Services.
• Financial Reporting & Audit
  • Lead preparation of consolidated corporate financial statements for the Board.
  • Manage external audit readiness and execution.
  • Enhance reporting cadence, accuracy, and transparency.
• Operating Division Support
  • Strengthen WIP reporting, progress billing accuracy, and project-based financial controls.
  • Improve forecasting, job costing, and margin visibility across manufacturing and construction divisions.
  • Partner with operating division leadership to elevate financial discipline and performance management.
  • Provide governance, financial and shared service controls across operating divisions.

Qualifications

• Required
  • Prior experience as CFO, VP Finance, or senior financial executive in a multi-division industrial enterprise.
  • Background in industrial manufacturing, industrial construction, or adjacent industries with progress billing and WIP accounting.
  • Experience supporting Boards or ownership groups during periods of transition and growth.
  • Strong command of corporate tax, treasury, audit, and compliance.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
• Preferred
  • Familiarity with family-owned or privately held industrial companies.

• Reports to: Riggs Industries Board of Directors via Board Chair
• Direct Reports: Fiscal Controller, Operational Controller, Senior Accountant
• Peer/Co-Executive: Chief Operating Officer, Riggs Industries
