Chief Financial Officer
About the role
The successful candidate will be a strategic architect who aligns financial planning with mission and long-term institutional goals, including campus expansion, capital investment, and sustained enrollment-driven growth. They will also be a trusted advisor who provides clear, actionable financial insights to the President and Board, supporting a governance structure that includes both Academy and Foundation boards and multiple committees. Additionally, they will be a collaborative partner who builds strong relationships across a close-knit leadership team and supports department leaders in a highly relational, mission-centered school environment.
Responsibilities
- Align financial planning with mission and long-term institutional goals, including campus expansion, capital investment, and sustained enrollment-driven growth.
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights to the President and Board, supporting a governance structure that includes both Academy and Foundation boards and multiple committees.
- Build strong relationships across a close-knit leadership team and support department leaders in a highly relational, mission-centered school environment.
- Drive process improvement and lead the modernization of financial systems, enhancing efficiency, data access, and cross-functional integration.
- Inspire and develop a loyal, high-performing team across finance, human resources, and operations, fostering a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic oversight of facilities, security, and auxiliary operations, while contributing to long-term planning for newly acquired property and future campus development.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a CPA license, at least 10 years of progressive financial management experience, and a proven track record of leading complex organizations. They must have a deep understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Experience in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.
