Chief Financial Officer
Overview
MMA PCS is an insurance brokerage agency protecting individuals' liabilities and personal assets through insurance portfolios. Reporting to the President & CEO and the Chief Financial Officer for MMA, the CFO leads finance and accounting, synthesizing financial insights into strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities
Lead finance and accounting, owning financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
Partner with commercial/producer-facing teams and functions (Marketing, HR, Technology) to drive scalable growth, guide M&A strategy and execution, build forward-looking financial models, and support workforce and operating-model decisions.
Own financial oversight and collections of carrier revenue streams.
Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives and manage the organization.
Support leaders through use of metrics and benchmarking to find process improvements, work environment enhancements, and margin improvement.
Provide strategic support for compensation frameworks enhancing producer economics and performance.
Collaborate with Sales Leadership and HR to design and manage compensation frameworks.
Lead and support M&A activity, including financial due diligence, valuation, integration planning, and tracking of expected benefits.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement through mentorship and fostering strong business partnering capabilities.
Implement or optimize finance and operating model initiatives, including ERP/consolidation tools, FP&A platforms, BI dashboards, data pipelines, and self-service analytics.
Build and develop talent: recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing finance team and foster strong business partnering capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of finance experience leading FP&A, controllership, and strategic finance initiatives; extensive experience in leading M&A transactions (diligence, valuation, integration).
Deep expertise in driver-based financial modeling, scenario planning, budgeting and forecasting, and advanced Excel; familiarity with modern FP&A/BI platforms and ERP/consolidation systems.
Experience in insurance, brokerage, financial services, or professional services, particularly P&CD.
Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders, influence cross-functional decisions, and lead complex transformation programs.
Experience implementing or optimizing financial systems, data governance, and self-service analytics.
Moderate travel expected for leadership, M&A diligence/integration, and key stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications
Proven track record scaling finance and operating models through rapid growth and/or M&A-driven consolidation.
Experience in producer economics, sales compensation modeling, and commercial finance supporting go-to-market strategies.
Strong background in deploying modern FP&A tooling, automating processes, and creating actionable analytics/dashboards.
Exceptional communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership.
