Chief Financial Officer

Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations. The CFO will play a critical role in the overall financial management of the company, including its financial planning, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and securing of new funding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
• Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and Board of Directors.
• Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
• Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
• Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
• Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
• Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
• Absorb and manage foreign operations, including developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
• Manage risks and insurance for the company including monitoring and managing cash flow.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger functions, and manage month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
• Advise management of actions and potential risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, specifically ERP systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Experience in Risk Management and Audit.
