Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and long-range strategic planning.
  • Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance functions.
  • Direct manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, overhead allocation, and operational KPIs to improve profitability.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, capital expenditures, and banking relationships.
  • Provide financial guidance for plant expansion, equipment investments, and automation initiatives.
  • Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain leadership to optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and California tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop financial dashboards and executive reporting for leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years serving as CFO, VP of Finance, or Finance Director within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in plastics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, taxation, and corporate governance.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Infor.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Private equity or publicly traded company experience.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) financial reporting within manufacturing.
