Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and long-range strategic planning.
- Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance functions.
- Direct manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Analyze production costs, labor efficiency, overhead allocation, and operational KPIs to improve profitability.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, capital expenditures, and banking relationships.
- Provide financial guidance for plant expansion, equipment investments, and automation initiatives.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and supply chain leadership to optimize manufacturing performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and California tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop financial dashboards and executive reporting for leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years serving as CFO, VP of Finance, or Finance Director within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in plastics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, taxation, and corporate governance.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Infor.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Private equity or publicly traded company experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) financial reporting within manufacturing.
