About the opportunity

The Chief Financial Officer serves as the Company's senior financial executive and strategic business partner to the President.

While overseeing the Company's financial operations, the CFO's primary responsibility is helping leadership make better business decisions through sound financial strategy, insightful analysis, disciplined risk management, and operational partnership.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experienced financial leader with understanding of both technical accounting and operational realities of the construction industry
  • Strong experience in construction accounting, job costing, work-in-progress reporting, cash flow management, bonding, banking relationships, financial controls, and strategic financial planning
  • Comfortable partnering directly with ownership, executive leadership, operations, estimating, payroll, HR, safety, equipment, and project management
  • Able to translate complex financial information into practical business guidance, identify risks and opportunities, and help drive informed decisions that support long-term company growth
  • Steady, professional, and trusted leader who values accuracy, confidentiality, accountability, and collaboration
  • Experience in civil construction, heavy highway, public works, union payroll, certified payroll, retainage, equipment costing, and Washington State construction operations is strongly preferred
  • Experience with HCSS and Computer Ease is desired

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
