We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our senior leadership team. This executive role is ideal for a financial leader who can guide organizational strategy, strengthen financial performance, oversee key administrative functions, and partner closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to support sustainable growth and long-term success.

About the role

The CFO will provide leadership and oversight for the organization’s financial, accounting, administrative, technology, risk management, and human resources functions. The successful candidate will bring strong executive judgment, financial discipline, operational insight, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and Board leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, treasury, audit, compliance, and internal control functions.
  • Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
  • Oversee accounting operations, financial systems, grant reporting, audits, tax filings, and risk management practices.
  • Guide technology strategy, cybersecurity oversight, administrative operations, vendor management, and business continuity planning.
  • Provide leadership for human resources programs, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Executive Director and oversees the Controller, Human Resources Manager, and Network Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
  • MBA, master’s degree, CPA, or other relevant professional designation preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, accounting, administration, or related executive functions.
  • Experience presenting financial results, strategic recommendations, and risk considerations to Boards of Directors or executive committees.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple functions, including finance, accounting, technology, administration, human resources, and risk management.
  • Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

The selected candidate must successfully complete a Level 2 Background check through the APD Clearinghouse.
