About the role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors. This role is responsible for the overall financial integrity, operational performance, and long-term sustainability of Crossing Rivers Health.
Responsibilities
- Lead all financial functions of the organization while ensuring strong internal controls, audit readiness, and transparent, accurate financial reporting.
- Navigate the complexities of rural healthcare reimbursement and support continued growth, stability, and community impact.
- Provide leadership and oversight for assigned operational departments, ensuring alignment between financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational strategy.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required, Field of Study: Accounting, Finance or related field. Master’s Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting preferred. 3-5 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, VP Finance, or Controller), highly preferred. Healthcare finance experience required; Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Computer Skills: Computer proficiency is a must to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Certifications & Licenses: Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) preferred. CPA preferred.
