Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and management of the agency's annual budget and long-range financial plans.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Oversee accounting, payroll, procurement, contracts, audits, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, government regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage cash flow, financial forecasting, capital planning, and asset management.
- Serve as liaison to auditors, banks, and state and federal funding agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 10 years of governmental accounting experience, including 4 years of supervisory experience; or Master's degree in Accounting or related field with 7 years of governmental accounting experience, including 4 years of supervisory.
- Experience with governmental budgeting, payroll, procurement, contract management, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Workday Financial Management, MOSAIC, HR/CMS, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a complex public-sector or municipal environment.
