About the role
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Chief Felony Prosecutor. This position prepares cases for trial by interviewing witnesses and relevant parties, conducting investigations, conducting legal research, preparing trial exhibits, composing legal documents, and preparing oral arguments.
Responsibilities
- Manages daily dockets by maintaining the court calendar, conducting hearings, and filing court motions
- Supervises personnel by assisting with case and trial preparation, prioritizing and directing tasks, and overseeing work activities
- Tries felony criminal cases to verdict and performs all ancillary tasks
Requirements
- Possess specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field, normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree
- Doctorate of Jurisprudence and State of Texas law license are required
- Prior experience as a Felony Prosecutor

Pay
Starting Salary: $129,440 per year
