CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF INPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC FACILITY

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership and operation of Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bastrop's services, departments, budget, and functions. The role reports to the Governing Body and is responsible for ensuring compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory laws.

Responsibilities

• Reviews operating results and takes corrective action as needed
• Demonstrate leadership through exploring, developing, accepting, and implementing new ideas
• Ensure the facility is adequately staffed and programming standards are met
• Affirm compliance with patient care quality standards and regulatory laws
• Develop and evaluate performance of each department and their improvement activities
• Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Manage facilities management and oversee physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems, and grounds
• Review human resources needs with department managers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Administration or Business
• Minimum of 2-3 years in a Leadership Position in an Acute Care or Psychiatric setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of needs and requirements of third-party payers
• Cultural sensitivity to diverse groups
• High degree of integrity and adherence to high standards of care
• Effective verbal and organizational skills
• Proficient in PC computers
• Basic understanding of medical and psychiatric diagnoses and conditions
• Willingness to relocate or be on-site M-F
