Chief Engineer, Class A Office Portfolio (1147888)

Location: Waltham, MA – onsite, full-time, direct hire.

About the role

Chief Engineer responsible for leading engineering and facilities operations across a Class A office portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs, vendors, contractors, and capital projects.
• Develop and mentor engineering staff while driving operational excellence and tenant satisfaction.
• Support budgeting, regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and emergency preparedness.

Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial building operations, facilities, or engineering experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP systems, BAS/BMS platforms, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with vendor management, capital projects, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• EPA Universal/CFC certification and Class A office or life science facility experience are highly preferred.

Pay

$125,000 – $170,000 USD annually.
