Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility
• Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures
• Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative and emergency repairs
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
• Develop a plant-wide Preventative Maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities
• Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies, and labor management
• Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards
• Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment
• Available for off-site plant startups and special projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or military experience is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
• Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
• Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
• Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints
• Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Good working knowledge of all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to: Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical Equipment
