Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility
- Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures
- Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative and emergency repairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
- Develop a plant-wide Preventative Maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities
- Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies, and labor management
- Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards
- Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment
- Available for off-site plant startups and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or military experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
- Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Good working knowledge of all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to: Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical Equipment
