Chief Engineer

About the role

Lead and manage the engineering team in a manufacturing and industrial operations environment, supporting both engineering and maintenance functions. This position is part of the Operations Department and requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team, including hiring, training, coaching, and personal development
• Oversee maintenance tasks for facility infrastructure and production equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and pneumatic issues in machines and equipment
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures
• Manage engineering budget and participate in the overall operating budget process

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience, especially as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar role
• People management experience (leading a team)
• Universal CFC EPA certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 30 feet tall
