About the role

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring the property's safety, efficiency, and impeccable upkeep. This role involves leading the engineering team, coordinating maintenance across critical systems, supporting staff development, managing vendor relationships, and responding to guest and operational needs with professionalism and care.

What You Will Do

  • Aid in managing the team to conduct repairs and maintenance as needed, including special projects assigned by the Engineering Manager.
  • Assist in the training, supervision, counseling, scheduling, and evaluation of performance of maintenance staff, conducting spot checks daily.
  • Maintain close working relations with hotel contractors providing reliable 24-hour emergency services.
  • Respond efficiently, courteously, and professionally to inquiries and problems, aiming for guest satisfaction.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in hospitality engineering, facilities maintenance, or related trades, with at least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance disciplines, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facilities operations.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance-related technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact professionally and effectively with guests, team members, and vendors.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects and support a fast-paced operation.

Schedule & Hours

The position is full-time with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
