Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment at two By the Sea Resorts hotels, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and ensure that they are meeting all hotel standards
- Schedule maintenance shifts and assign tasks
- Train new maintenance technicians
- Inspect hotel facilities and equipment to identify and repair any problems
- Resolve guest complaints and issues related to maintenance
- Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Develop and implement new maintenance procedures and policies
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
- Work with the Area Maintenance Manager to develop and implement the hotels' overall maintenance budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a hotel engineering role, including at least 2 years of experience as a chief engineer
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Strong understanding of hotel engineering systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
