About the role
The Chief of the Digestive Disease Institute (DDI) is sought to lead the Institute across global sites. The Institute is comprised of 215 staff physicians, 132 advanced practice providers, 335 inpatient and outpatient nurses, 230 registered dieticians, and 194 additional non-clinical caregivers. The Institute provides services at 30 locations in Ohio, 7 locations in Florida, and operates in Cleveland Clinic London and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the Institute across global sites.
- Oversee general operations, quality and safety.
- Drive the strategic mission of the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
- Implement and manage research, innovation, education, recruitment, retention, and mentoring of medical staff, administrators, educators, and researchers.
Requirements
- Must be a General Surgeon, Colorectal Surgeon, or Gastroenterologist physician leader.
- Record of excellence in clinical care, education, and scholarship.
- Significant experience in leadership, administration, and program development.
- Demonstrated leadership with strength in communication and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Board-certified in General Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, or Gastroenterology.
- Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven track record of success in clinical and administrative roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay
- Salary range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty.
- Actual compensation determined based on fair market value and individual qualifications.
