Are you a meticulous and strategic professional ready to drive the financial success of large-scale projects from the ground up? We are seeking an exceptional professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of initiatives within a forward-thinking organization. In this position, you will be the architect of accurate cost projections, directly influencing project feasibility and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the estimating process from inception to completion, providing accurate cost estimates and pre-construction budgets to project leadership.
  • Develop and manage the pre-construction budget and estimate throughout the entire process.
  • Conduct preliminary cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenses.
  • Evaluate and analyze project documents, specifications, and plans thoroughly.
  • Work collaboratively with project leadership and sub-contractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimates/pricing.
  • Manage the subcontractor bidding and evaluation process to secure the best partnerships.
  • Conduct pre-bid site visits to assess field conditions and project feasibility, ensuring realistic projections.
  • Provide essential support to the project team during the construction phase.
  • Continually update and maintain the estimating database for historical proposals, cost estimates, and design drawings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an estimator.
  • Ability to read and interpret conceptual drawings and construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, enabling efficient project handling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
