Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory & Accreditation Compliance
- Lead compliance efforts across all operating regions
- Ensure adherence to state, federal, and payer regulations
- Maintain readiness for external audits, licensing inspections, and accreditation surveys (e.g., CARF, Joint Commission)
- Conduct internal audits, identify areas of risk, and implement corrective action plans
- Ensure organizational policies and procedures remain current, compliant, and aligned with operations
- Risk Management & Quality Assurance
- Oversee enterprise-wide risk-management programs
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to ensure consistent service excellence across programs and locations
- Analyze compliance, outcome, and incident data; provide actionable insights and reports to executive leadership
- Support program leaders in maintaining standardized, organization-wide compliance practices
- Investigations & Corrective Actions
- Conduct investigations into compliance concerns, complaints, and potential violations
- Document findings, recommend solutions, and monitor implementation of corrective actions
- Serve as a confidential, neutral resource for employees raising compliance or ethical concerns
- Cross-Functional & Strategic Collaboration
- Collaborate with leadership across clinical, operations, HR, and executive teams
- Align compliance strategies with organizational goals
- Participate in strategic planning, leadership meetings, and program development
- Support compliance planning for new programs, licensing efforts, and expansion initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, regulatory oversight, or risk management within behavioral health, healthcare, or residential treatment settings
- Strong knowledge of:
- Medicaid and payer requirements
- State licensing regulations
- Accreditation standards (CARF, Joint Commission)
- Proven experience leading audits, investigations, and corrective action processes across multi-site environments
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, and future regions
- Strategic, collaborative leader with progressive experience in compliance, regulatory oversight, or quality systems
- Systems thinker and builder with a strong understanding of healthcare and behavioral health regulations
- Highly ethical and solutions-oriented with sound judgment and professionalism
- Comfortable navigating complex, high-risk, and confidential situations with objectivity and discretion
- A trusted advisor to executive leadership, able to influence at all levels of the organization
- A coach and collaborator who fosters a culture where compliance empowers teams rather than restricts them
