Chief Architect, Product Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Chief Architect, Product Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will define the technical architecture strategy for a modern SaaS platform spanning cloud, AI, data, network, infrastructure, and security domains. You will translate long-term technical direction into practical standards and reference patterns that guide engineering execution, platform evolution, and secure scalability. The position also partners closely with Product Management, Cloud Operations, and security stakeholders while representing the architecture vision in both strategic and client-facing settings. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Set the technical architecture strategy for SaaS, cloud, AI, data, network, infrastructure, and security. Translate strategy into actionable standards and reference patterns for engineering teams. Provide technical judgment to inform Product Management's roadmap discussions. Represent architecture vision to clients, from C-level briefings to technical deep dives. Engage hands-on with design reviews and complex technical challenges as needed. Establish standards for extending the core platform and AI integration. Collaborate with Cloud Operations on infrastructure resilience and operational standards. Qualifications 12+ years in software architecture, including 5+ years as an enterprise or chief architect. Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms across multiple cloud providers. Proven track record in legacy-to-cloud or on-prem-to-SaaS transitions at scale. Hands-on experience with AI and ML-integrated products. Strong background in data architecture and governance. Solid grounding in network and infrastructure architecture, including zero-trust and IaC principles. Deep knowledge of application security and experience with InfoSec and GRC.
