Chief Architect

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Chief Architect to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This leader will shape enterprise architecture strategy that aligns mission objectives with technology direction in support of complex government-facing solutions. The role will partner closely with client stakeholders, senior technical leaders, and delivery teams to translate business and mission needs into actionable architecture roadmaps. The Chief Architect will also establish standards, guide modernization efforts, and help ensure technical decisions support long-term value creation across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$114,600 – $252,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Devise strategies to deliver value-driven solutions aligned with client objectives
• Engage with clients to design actionable, value-added solutions and processes
• Link client mission strategy to IT strategy with comprehensive documentation
• Create and manage architecture roadmaps for current and target state architectures
• Establish architecture standards and govern compliance across teams
• Maintain a technology roadmap addressing modernization needs and technical debt
• Evaluate emerging technologies to inform business growth strategy

Qualifications

• M.A., M.S., or PhD from an accredited institution
• 15+ years of experience leading solution delivery for U.S. Government customers
• Experience managing senior technical personnel
• Strong understanding of the U.S. Government marketspace related to solution development
• Prior experience with multiple enterprise systems design and delivery in a federal government context
