Chief Anesthesiologist

About the role

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL is seeking a Chief Anesthesiologist to join their dedicated team. The position offers a robust compensation package, including a guaranteed base salary of $575,000 - $615,000, an annual chief stipend of $50,000 for administrative duties, and a $100,000 commencement bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations, staffing, and scheduling with a focus on fairness and flexibility.
• Partner with hospital and nursing leadership to uphold patient safety and quality standards.
• Support continuing education, mentorship, and professional development for all anesthesia providers.
• Collaborate on policies and best practices related to anesthesia care, airway management, and perioperative safety.
• Focus on caring for complex cases in a busy collaborative care team environment.
• Partner with a Main OR Anesthesiologist and a team of experienced CRNAs.

Requirements

• Leadership experience preferred, or must have leadership qualities.
• Completion of a US Residency.
• Board certification in Anesthesia.
• Fellowship not required.
• Active FL license or able to obtain.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience in cardiac anesthesia, including CABG, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clips, open and minimally invasive procedures, cath lab, EP, interventional, and structural cases.
• No OB experience required.
