Key Responsibilities
- Lead underwriting across new and renewal medical stop loss business
- Evaluate submissions and support structuring of complex risks
- Partner with executive leadership on business planning and growth initiatives
- Build underwriting processes and support team development over time
- Collaborate closely with broker and consultant partners
Required Experience
- Deep medical stop loss underwriting experience (carrier, MGU, or reinsurance)
- Strong technical underwriting capabilities with a hands-on approach
- Experience with self-funded employer plans and stop loss program structures
- Proven ability to contribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio performance
Preferred Experience
- Experience with captive programs
- Exposure to high-growth environments
- Strong knowledge of the stop loss broker/consultant landscape
Location: Austin, TX area (onsite preferred)
