About the role
Provides comprehensive psychiatric care for children and adolescents in an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Treats patients aged 3 to 17 in an inpatient setting.
- Conducts evaluations and develops treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participates in ongoing professional development through CME and other educational opportunities.
- May participate in research initiatives related to child and adolescent psychiatry.
Requirements
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Illinois Medical Licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX exams.
