Position Summary

The Attorney Integration Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring that newly hired attorneys, lateral partners, of counsels, associates, and practice attorneys successfully transition into the firm. This Coordinator will report to the Director of Attorney Recruiting & Integration and collaborate on strategic talent development initiatives with the broader Attorney Recruiting & Integration Department. This Coordinator works closely with Professional Development, Business Development, Practice Operations, and Practice Group Leaders to deliver a seamless attorney integration experience. This role is designed to be a highly visible position with significant exposure to firm leadership.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic point of contact and concierge for new attorneys by providing high touch support essential to their successful integration into the firm.
  • Work with cross-functional administrative teams to orchestrate a white-glove onboarding experience, serving as a resource for navigating firmwide policies, internal protocols, and culture.
  • Collaborate with Partner Recruiting, Attorney Intelligence & Research, Lateral Associate Recruiting, and Regional Administration teams to ensure a seamless transition to the firm's platform throughout the attorney hiring and onboarding process.
  • Implement tailored attorney integration strategies in coordination with firm and practice group leaders.
  • Aid in project management related to the execution of attorney integration plans.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned Integration Partner(s).
  • Facilitate strategic introductions to key stakeholders, legacy attorneys, and business professionals.
  • Schedule and coordinate integration meetings for lateral attorneys.
  • Support planning and logistics for lateral partner roadshows and other lateral attorney visits to firm offices.
  • Work with Professional Development teams to align attorney integration with training, mentoring, coaching, and career development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Business Development teams to identify cross-selling, client team, and marketing opportunities for lateral partners.
  • Coordinate with Practice Operations teams on practice group introductions and staffing needs.
  • Conduct routine check-in meetings with new attorneys to collect feedback, evaluate integration, monitor performance benchmarks, and identify challenges.
  • Track integration milestones, maintain accurate records, and provide summaries of integration activities, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Prepare reports for leadership on integration progress, trends, and retention indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the integration program and implement best practices across offices and practice groups.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a law firm or professional client-service role required.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the firm office with ability to come into the office 3-4 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior integration and/or recruiting experience is ideal; experience at a law firm is preferred.
  • Executive administrative experience in a client-service role is preferred.

Agility to be able to respond to unexpected challenges, including proactively developing innovative solutions to complex problems while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Professionalism: Maintain composure and demonstrate good judgment. Flexibility Must be available for work outside of normal schedule hours for urgent business needs. Ability to travel as needed.

Pay

Illinois based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $78,000 - $90,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.

New York based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $88,000 - $100,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
