Chemroom Operator - (Temporary) (30295)

Essential Duties

• Follow all safety protocols and assist in promoting a safe culture
• Follow all quality protocols to meet customer specifications
• Read and comprehend internal documents such as work order travelers, inventory records, and logs
• Visually inspect parts for cosmetic defects per customer or internal criteria
• Prepare parts for chemical processing using fixtures or hangers ensuring minimal opportunity for damage to product
• Manual or mechanical assisted loading of parts into chemical tanks ensuring process times are achieved
• Use various tools and equipment such as jitterbugs, sanders, detail brushes, pressure washers, and other items to detail the part according to specification
• Operate a hoist as needed for lifting and moving heavy objects
• Multitask to process multiple parts simultaneously while adhering to process standards
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment including tasks on the daily housekeeping checklist

Qualifications

• Previous experience in parts cleaning is a plus
• Attention to detail
• 1 year experience in manufacturing desired
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment requiring quick turnaround

Work Environment

• Must be able to function well in an office environment
• Must also be able to work in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment
• Must also be able to perform in a laboratory environment

Physical Demands

• The employee is regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage
• Should be able to pick-up 50 lbs on occasional or regular basis
