Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Compounding IV medications: Measuring and mixing medications, sterile solutions, and additives according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Labeling and packaging: Properly labeling and packaging the compounded IV medications, ensuring all necessary information is clearly indicated.
- Inventory management: Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of IV medications, quantities, lot numbers/expiration date accuracy, supplies, and equipment.
- Quality control: Adhering to quality control standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy, sterility, and safety of compounded IV medications.
- Environmental monitoring: Participating in maintaining both environmental controls and personnel controls.
- Hood certification: Participating in the certification procedure every 6 months.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor such as cross training in oral chemo dispensaries.

- Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices, procedures, medication, and supplies.

- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Required Experience, Education And/Or Training
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License (CA/AZ) or Active Registration with State Board (NV).
- Minimum two years’ experience in compounding IV admixtures, preferably including IV chemotherapy.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification is strongly preferred.
Schedule Details
- In-Person: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Local travel will be required, mileage will be reimbursed.
