Chemistry Teacher (AP Chem.)
About the Role
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the criteria for or hold a valid TN teaching license with endorsement codes 016, 127, 212, or 416. The ideal candidate will have strong content knowledge, be flexible, and a team player. Regular attendance and the ability to interact with students are also required.

Hiring Incentive
A one-time signing bonus of $4,000 is available for certain subject areas, including chemistry. To qualify, the teacher must be new to Rutherford County Schools, or if returning, must not have previously taught in a hard-to-staff area. The bonus is paid in two installments: $2,000 in the fall and $2,000 in the spring. A valid TN teaching license with the appropriate endorsement is required.
Qualifying Endorsement Codes
The following endorsement codes qualify for the hiring incentive: Chemistry: 016, 127, 212, 416. Note that other subject areas, including math, physics, English, ESL, special education, and world languages, also have qualifying endorsement codes.
Student Teachers
A one-time signing bonus of $1,000 is available for student teachers who have completed their student teaching in the district and contract with Rutherford County Schools for the upcoming school year. The bonus is paid in two installments: $500 in the fall and $500 in the spring.
