About the role
We are seeking chemistry experts with a Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field to contribute to the development and evaluation of cutting-edge AI models. Your expertise will be used to solve complex, real-world chemistry problems that push AI to think more rigorously and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Design, solve, and critically review advanced chemistry problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry to create rigorous, layered problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated chemistry reasoning for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model performance
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific rigor and precision
Requirements
- Holder of a Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Deeply knowledgeable in at least one of: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Experienced with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian or VASP
- An exceptional written communicator who can explain complex concepts with clarity
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and committed to scientific accuracy
- Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Qualifications
- Nice to have: prior experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or AI training workflows; background in research publishing, peer review, or academic instruction; familiarity with cheminformatics tools or molecular modeling software; experience translating advanced technical concepts for non-specialist audiences
